I just caught this little nugget on youtube:
Partial transcript below.
There is some startling economic news today that I have not yet seen diaried. Please let me know if it has.
While it may not be entirely unexpected, the shoe has finally dropped: Iran has today stopped using the U.S. dollar for oil transactions.
While the title of this diary no doubt will make it nearly impossible for anyone to take it seriously enough to click on it, I would first like to thank YOU, one of the brave souls who has embarked upon a journey of curiosity.
"What is this madman thinking, posting a diary like that on Daily Kos?! Surely that diary title would be more at home on mydd!" you have likely thought, perhaps even uttering those sentiments aloud, much to the confusion of those in your immediate proximity.
Fret not, my friends. I come here to bury Clinton, not to praise her.

Everybody's favorite pill-popping right wing radio gasbag has initiated what he calls the "Doomsday Phase" of Operation Chaos, his effort to undermine the Democratic primary process by convincing Republicans to register as Democrats and vote for Hillary Clinton so as to prolong the infighting.
How, you ask? Is it because of allegations that Hillary Clinton has been openly railing against the "activist base" of the Democratic party? Is it because of reports that some of Clinton's volunteers openly hate Obama and his supporters? Is it because Obama has an almost 150 delegate lead with only a handful of contests to go? Is it because Obama keeps getting the support and backing of more and more superdelegates?
It's no one of these things.
It's all of them.
According to today's Rasmussen tracking poll, the numbers are
Obama: 49% (+3)
Clinton: 37% (-4)
This may indeed signal the continuation of a sudden rapid shift of the electorate towards Barack Obama.

In perhaps one of the most bizarre twists of fate in the history of American Presidential campaign politics, former North Carolina Senator John Edwards has become the de facto winner of the 2008 Nevada Democratic caucuses. Although polling at just around 4% in the state, his meager sum of support is now enough to catapult him over both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, his chief rivals for the Democratic nomination. Although the two celebrity candidates had initially done much better than Edwards -- at approximately 51% and 45% respectively -- their support vanished in the hours after the results were released on Saturday night as their supporters violently took up arms against one another and began fighting for supremacy.
Covering the event live for FOX News, Geraldo Rivera sanctimoniously lamented, "They're fucking murdering each other in the streets! Can't we all just get along?!"
It seems mikemcnary was on to something ten days ago! It may not be incredibly surprising, but it's still quite newsworthy.
Ralph Nader unleashed on Hillary Rodham Clinton Monday - criticizing her for being soft on defense spending and a chum of big business - and expressed his strong support for John Edwards.
You're two hundred and sixteen years young, and you're still beautiful.

Magnificent.
Time has been quite gentle to you, the ink only slightly faded from your face. Sure, you may be a bit worn and somewhat difficult to read, but I think I speak for every one of us when I say we still love you, and that you're still worth fighting for.
That goes for everyone. In fact, let me take care of something first:
Disclaimer: This diary is not an attack on any candidate.
Now that that's out of the way, let's get on with it!
I am a huge proponent of Instant Runoff Voting (IRV for short). Implementing it on a national scale would do a great deal to ensure that in the future our leaders are elected in a truly fair and democratic way.
If you already know what IRV is all about, proceed to after the fold.
If you do not know what IRV is all about, continue from here.
It's story time! Hooray!
As an Edwards supporter, for a while now I have taken solace in the fact that he has consistently led the Democrats in the Iowa caucus polls. It appears now that his star may be falling.

This troubles me quite a bit. My hope has been that if Edwards can succeed in winning the initial Iowa caucus that he can pick up momentum into New Hampshire and have a real shot at winning the nomination. However, recent polling obviously shows a trend downwards. Polling trends in other primary states is also not very encouraging, as you will see below the fold.
As we all know, less than a week before the Iowa caucus in 2004 Howard Dean was expected to win. For months beforehand, in fact, he was expected to walk away with it.
As we all know, however, he finished third. The person who finished first, John Kerry, had been polling behind both Howard Dean and Dick Gephardt just weeks before.
We have been sold out. Anybody who's been watching the events of the past two days -- as the Democratic-held Legislative Twig of Government knelt reverently before King Bush -- knows that we have been sold out. Granted, many of our representatives did the right thing, but far too many did not, and for reasons that are difficult to fully grasp.
So what can we do?
How many of you clicked on this expecting another "I support Hillary" diary? Sorry if you were hoping for one. You're welcome if you weren't.
Follow me down while I get to the point...
MSNBC is reporting that Bush will veto the Iraq spending bill this evening and then give a televised address at around 6:10 Eastern time (link).
President Bush said Tuesday that Democrats who made the legislation a showdown over withdrawing U.S. troops could turn Iraq into a "cauldron of chaos" with their approach.
I don't know about you, but I'm curious about what his idea of a "cauldron of chaos" would be if Iraq isn't one already.
The buzz I'm hearing from a friend, and a totally unconfirmed White House source (remember Comedy Central doesn't have journalistic standards), is that Rumsfeld will be out of the administration tomorrow. This is a shocker even to the totally unnamed source in the White House. Already, we are seeing reports of a White House Press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. Could this be it?
Every day I read, listen to, and watch the news, and every day there are both old and new variations of "as they stand up, we'll stand down" leaving the mouths of plutocrats. I can't keep track of how often I hear elected official after elected official say that the Iraqis need to start taking responsibility for their own safety and security.
It's funny how the oh-so-pervasive cultural doctrine of Personal Responsibility is so selectively applied.
