Well it seems when you think Drudge Report cannot sink any lower, they/he does.  They are now a part of piracy as it has a link to a bit torrent program which allows you to ILLEGALLY download the movie SICKO. Reporting is one thing, actively linking is entirely another.  On the net, direct linking is participating IMHO.

I will not link here to drudge as that would just be another link in the chain in this piracy.

People always seem concerned about the children, but are we?
As a nation how well are we preparing our kids so that they may take over heading into this new century?

I am a well educated middle aged man with a resume that could easily fill 3 pages. Yet I am still concerned about myself and job prospects in the future if ever god forbid my own company were to hit a wall.  Something that in the computer industry is always possible.  Anywho, I was thinking about our young kids and their futures, if I am scared about future job prospects, my god, how must they feel?

Yes, you read this right, we were warned of this current crisis as children.In a cartoon!! I kid you not.  

Well it looks as if the US is about to introduce a new type of non lethal weapon into the Iraqi arena, and this one is a doozy.

This diary will be short, but I think it deserves more than just a mentioning in an open thread. Look at how TIME online begins the Foley story. It is dated today so they can not cry ignorance.  The following paragraph is the opening paragraph and it sickens me.

Opinion may be divided over whether the e-mails Florida Representative Mark Foley sent a teen-age male congressional page last year were inappropriate or even constituted outright sexual harassment.

WTF?

I am a Human. Until every person sees themselves first and foremost as a human we will have strife, war, racism, etc etc.

Until everyone sees themselves as brothers and sisters of the same species, wanting the same things, we will have this same old millenia of problems.

When you label yourself ANYTHING, you limit yourself.

People will label themselves as a jewish american, or a black muslim american, then when other people limit and stereotype you because of your self imposed definition you become angry.  Why not see yourself as a human. All other details are just that, just little details.

I hear the right scream we have no ideas. That we are all cut and run or some other sound bit nonsense.

OK, they want an Iraqi strategy, I'll give them one. Let's first put aside that if people like us were actually listened to we would of never been in this mess in the first place.  Sure, some people don't like "I told you so's" tough shit, deal with it and maybe next time you'll listen to people who have actually read history books.

OK for the strategy, It's pretty simple really.

Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel has always been one of the best "news" shows on TV. If you have never watched it, or if you think it is only about sports, do yourself a favor and start watching it.  Real Sports may have "sports" as a starting piont but the stories concern all of us and are about people not so much the sports they play. Real Sports is what 60 minutes was.

Now that I pimped this great show, on to why I am writing this diary. Simply stated, last night Real Sports reported on the clean air act and the bush administration's dismantling of it BETTER than I have seen any show on any network report on it.
